Bangladesh logged an additional 24 deaths and 2,159 infections from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours on Wednesday, counting the death toll to 6,930 and infections to 484,104.
Among the deceased, 18 were male and six female patients.
A Directorate General of Health Services release came up with the latest COVID-19 data.
Some 17,042 specimens were tested in the timeline at 140 labs across the country.
Bangladesh had tested a total of 29,11,664 specimens as of December
9.
A total of 4,772 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 405,966.
Bangladesh on March 8 reported the first COVID-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18.
