Bangladesh logged an additional 37 deaths and 1,799 infections from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours on Monday, counting the death toll to 7,089 and infections to 492,332.
Among the deceased, 27 were male and 10 female patients.
A Directorate General of Health Services release came up with the latest COVID-19 data.
Some 16,828 specimens were tested in the timeline at 140 labs across the country.
Bangladesh had tested a total of 29,86,458 specimens as of December 14.
A total of 2,949 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 423,845.
Bangladesh on March 8 reported the first COVID-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18.
