Thailand, Algeria to get new Bangladesh ambassadors

The government has appointed new ambassadors for Thailand and Algeria on Thursday, according to foreign ministry press releases.

Mohammed Abdul Hye, currently serving as the ambassador of Bangladesh to Algeria, is the next ambassador of Bangladesh to Thailand.

Hye is a career foreign service officer belonging to 1986 batch of Bangladesh Civil Service foreign affairs cadre.

He also served, among others, as high commissioner to Brunei, director general at the foreign ministry and in Bangladesh missions in Manama, Moscow, Bangkok and Dubai in various capacities.

Hye obtained his BSc in Civil Engineering from BUET.

The government has also appointed Muhammad Zulqar Nain, currently serving as the deputy high commissioner at Bangladesh High Commission in London, as the new ambassador of Bangladesh to Algeria.

Zulqar Nain is a career foreign service officer belonging to the 17th batch of Bangladesh Civil Service foreign affairs cadre.

He served in various capacities in Bangladesh Missions in Washington DC, Seoul and Birmingham.

He obtained his Masters in diplomacy and trade from Monash University.
