Bangladesh logged an additional 25 deaths and 1,267 infections from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours on Saturday, counting the death toll to 7,242 and infections to 499,560.
Among the deceased, 17 were male and eight female patients.
A Directorate General of Health Services release came up with the latest COVID-19 data.
Some 12,300 specimens were tested in the timeline at 160 labs across the country.
Bangladesh had tested a total of 30,62,364 specimens as of December 19.
A total of 1,987 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 435,601.
Bangladesh on March 8 reported the first COVID-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18.
