Photojournalist Shafiqul Islam Kajol was released from Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj at 11:15am today, informed his son Monorom Polok.
'We have just brought father home," he said.
Kajol is mentally still reeling from the ordeal, he added.
Kajal received his final round of bail on December 17 from the High Court. Since then, the family has been waiting to see the bail order being implemented and Kajol released.
Kajol first went missing on March 10 right after being sued with 3 cases under Digital Security Act.
Two months later he was "found" by the border guard "roaming aimlessly" at the Benapole border in the middle of the night.
Since then he has been in jail.
