A man was killed and four others were injured as a freight train hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at a rail crossing in Cumilla this morning.
The Dhaka-bound freight train collided with the autorickshaw at Shasangachha Railway Crossing near the Cumilla Railway Station at 6:50am, Station Master Shafikur Rahman said quoting locals.
Four passengers including two women and the driver of the auto-rickshaw were injured as the three-wheeler got twisted when the train hit it, he told our local correspondent.
The injured were taken to Cumilla Medical College Hospital where Farid Munsi, one of the passengers, succumbed to his injuries, the station master said quoting the hospital sources.
