Prof Abdul Bari resigned from the post of registrar, Rajshahi University, today.
He submitted his resignation letter at an emergency syndicate meeting of the university today in presence of Vice-Chancellor Prof M Abdus Subhan, syndicate member Prof Habibur Rahman told The Daily Star.
On December 13, the government in an order directed the VC to take necessary steps to relieve Prof Bari from his post for not properly assisting the UGC committee in probing allegations of irregularities at the university.
