Bangladesh logged an additional 17 deaths and 978 infections from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours on Wednesday, counting the death toll to 7,687 and infections to 518,898.
Among the deceased, 15 were male and two female patients.
A Directorate General of Health Services release came up with the latest COVID-19 data.
Some 15,544 specimens were tested in the timeline at 181 labs across the country.
Bangladesh had tested a total of 33,02,429 specimens as of January 6.
A total of 1,021 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 463,480.
Bangladesh on March 8 reported the first COVID-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18.
