Bangladesh recorded an additional 31 deaths from COVID-19 and 1,007 infections in the past 24 hours on Thursday, counting the death toll to 7,718 and infections to 5, 19,905.
A Directorate General of Health Services press release came up with the latest COVID-19 data.
Among the deceased, 21 were male and 10 were female.
Some 15,391 specimens were tested at 181 labs in the last 24 hours across the country.
A total of 966 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 4, 64,446.
The country on March 8 reported the first COVID-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18.
