Bangladesh logged an additional 16 deaths and 718 infections from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours on Tuesday, counting the death toll to 7,819 and infections to 524,020.
Among the deceased, 10 were male and six female patients.
A Directorate General of Health Services release came up with the latest COVID-19 data.
Some 14,363 specimens were tested in the timeline at 194 labs across the country.
Bangladesh had tested a total of 33,85,779 specimens as of January 12.
A total of 963 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 468,681.
Bangladesh on March 8 reported the first COVID-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18.
