At least seven people were killed and four sustained injuries in a road accident in Madandanga area in Shoilkupa upazila of Jhenaidah on Wednesday evening.
The accident took place in the area at about 6:30pm when a cement-laden lorry of Sena Kalyan Sangstha collided head-on with a Nasiman, a locally-made three wheeler, leaving seven of its passengers dead on the spot, said Ramchandrapur police camp officer-in-charge Shamim Akhter.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately, police official said.
The injured were sent to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital while the bodies were kept at its morgue, said the official.
