The date of the 41st BCS exam has finally been announced 14 months after the advertisement. This BCS preliminary examination will be held on March 19. The special 42nd BCS preliminary examination for doctors will be held on February 28.
The dates were set at a meeting of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) today, the PSC said in a press release.
41st BCS preliminary exam will be held simultaneously in Dhaka, Chattogram, Khulna, Rajshahi, Sylhet, Barishal, Rangpur and Mymensingh on March 19, from 10 am to 12pm.
To appoint 2,135 officers, PSC published the advertisement of the 41st BCS on November 27, 2019. The last date of the application was January 4, 2020. A record number of 4 lakh 75 thousand candidates applied for this BCS. Although this exam was supposed to be held at the beginning of last year, PSC could not take it due to Covid-19.
Meanwhile, the advertisement of 42nd BCS was published on November 30 to appoint 2,000 doctors during the period. More than 31,000 applications were submitted to this BCS. This preliminary examination will be held on February 26, from 3 pm to 5 pm.
The PSC says that the seats and details of both the BCS exams will be announced later.
