Hilaly Wadud Chowdhury, former senior sub-editor of JustNewsBD.com and senior sub-editor of the Daily Bhorer Kagoj, passed away after suffering a heart attack on Friday morning.
He breathed his last around 9:15 am while being taken to hospital after having breathing difficulties, said family sources.
Hilaly Wadud was the president candidate for the Dhaka Sub-Editor’s Council election slated for January 16.
Hilaly left behind a wife, a daughter, other close family members and a host of well-wishers to mourn his death.
His body will be taken to Bhorer Kagoj office around 1:30 pm where his first namaz-e-janaza will be held. Then Hilaly's body will be taken to Jatiya Press Club for the second namaz-e-janaza before. He will be buried at his family graveyard in Domar upazila in Nilphamari.
