Three passengers were killed on the spot while another died after taken to the hospital as a Sherpur- bound CNG-run auto rickshaw was hit by a truck at Mirzapur area in Bajitkhila union Sunday morning.
Three of the deceased are Selim, 25, Rukhsana, 30, and Jobed Ali, 25.
Sherpur police officer-in-charge Abdullah Al Mamun confirmed the matter and said that following the accident, three of the injured were taken to the hospital where one of them died.
The truck has been seized while the truck driver managed to flee, he added.
