Bangladesh logged an additional eight deaths and 305 infections from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours on Saturday, counting the death toll to 8,190 and infections to 537,770.
Among the deceased, six were male and two female patients.
A Directorate General of Health Services release came up with the latest COVID-19 data.
Some 12,135 specimens were tested in the timeline at 206 labs across the country.
Bangladesh had tested a total of 37,36,608 specimens as of February 6.
A total of 417 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 482,841.
Bangladesh on March 8 reported the first COVID-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18.
