A Dhaka court today again asked detectives to submit by March 21 the probe report of a case filed against Mohammad Erfan Salim and four others over assaulting navy official Wasif Ahmed Khan in Dhaka's Dhanmondi on October 25 last year.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md Hasibul Haque passed the order after Md Mominul Haque of Detective Branch of Police and also the investigation officer of the case failed to submit any report before the court.
With this, investigating agencies took three dates to complete the probe.
Erfan, son of Dhaka-7 lawmaker and Awami League leader Haji Mohammad Salim, and four others are now in jail.
The incident happened after Erfan's SUV hit the navy official's motorcycle.
