COVID-19 claims eight more in Bangladesh

Bangladesh logged an additional eight more deaths and 326 infections from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours on Sunday, counting the death toll to 8,274 and infections to 540,592.

Among the deceased, five were male and three female patients.

A Directorate General of Health Services release came up with the latest COVID-19 data.

Some 12,900 specimens were tested in the timeline at 210 labs across the country.

Bangladesh had tested a total of 38,48,116 specimens as of February 14.

A total of 462 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 487,229.

Bangladesh on March 8 reported the first COVID-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18.
