Bangladesh logged an additional 13 more deaths and 396 infections from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours on Tuesday, counting the death toll to 8,298 and infections to 541,434.
Among the deceased, 10 were male and three female patients.
A Directorate General of Health Services release came up with the latest COVID-19 data.
Some 14,788 specimens were tested in the timeline at 212 labs across the country.
Bangladesh had tested a total of 38,77,042 specimens as of February 16.
A total of 751 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 488,621.
Bangladesh on March 8 reported the first COVID-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18.
