Twenty science and technology, and general public universities are likely to hold centralised admission tests in June-July.
Three engineering universities––Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology, Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology and Khulna University of Engineering and Technology –– have set tentative dates for their admission test on June 12.
Public universities have fixed tentative dates for holding admission tests in a meeting of Bangladesh Bishwabidyalaya Parishad, said Professor Mizanur Rahman, vice chancellor of Jagannath University and also joint convenor of the committee that is working on introducing cluster admission test at 20 public universities.
The parishad held a virtual meeting this afternoon. It is an association of public university vice-chancellors.
The Parishad's Deputy Secretary Motahar Hosain said admission test to 20 science and technology, and general public universities will be held in three days.
Tentative date for humanities students is June 19, for business students is June 26 and science students is July 3 or 10.
The examination of agricultural universities on cluster basis is likely to be held on May 29.
Tentative dates for Dhaka University admission tests are May 21, 22, 26 and 27 and June 5 and for Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology date is June 10.
Probable date for Jahangirnagar University admission test is from June 6 to 18 and June 20.
Admission test for Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University is likely to be held from June 4 to 5. Admission tests for Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Aviation and Aerospace University is scheduled for June 26, for Bangladesh University of Textiles it is June 18 and for Bangladesh University of Professionals is February 26 and 27.
However, the probable date of admission test of Rajshahi and Chittagong universities were not fixed yet.
Admission test for MBBS course in the country's government-run and private medical colleges for the academic year 2020-21 will be held on April 2.
Also, admission test for BDS courses of dental colleges and units will be held on April 30.
