Six people were killed and 13 were injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck in Sherpur upazila of Bogura early today.
Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Ratan Hossain, station officer of Sherpur fire service, said the collision occurred at Sherpur Collage Gate around 4:45am.
On information, firefighting units rushed to the spot and rescued the injured, cutting the bodies of the vehicles.
Among the deceased, five are driver and passengers of the bus while the other is the driver of the truck, Ratan said.
The injured were rushed to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital, said Sub-inspector Abdul Aziz of Silimpur police outpost.
