COVID-19 claims seven more, infects 327 in Bangladesh

Bangladesh logged an additional seven more deaths and 327 infections from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours on Sunday, counting the death toll to 8,349 and infections to 543,351.

All the deceased were male patients.

A Directorate General of Health Services release came up with the latest COVID-19 data.

Some 14,036 specimens were tested in the timeline at 214 labs across the country.

Bangladesh had tested a total of 39,47,673 specimens as of February 21.

A total of 475 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 491,367.

Bangladesh on March 8 reported the first COVID-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18.
