COVID-19 claims seven more, infects 366 in Bangladesh

Bangladesh logged an additional seven more deaths and 366 infections from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours on Monday, counting the death toll to 8,356 and infections to 543,717.

Among the deceased, four were male and three female patients.

A Directorate General of Health Services release came up with the latest COVID-19 data.

Some 11,103 specimens were tested in the timeline at 214 labs across the country.

Bangladesh had tested a total of 39,58,776 specimens as of February 22.

A total of 692 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 492,059.

Bangladesh on March 8 reported the first COVID-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18.
