Over 182,000 people vaccinated on Tuesday

The health authorities in Bangladesh on Tuesday inoculated over 182,000 people against the contagious Covid-19 disease.

Altogether 182,896 people were administered their first dose of the vaccine on the day. Of them, 115,318 were men and 67,578 were women, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

With Tuesday’s inoculations, the health authorities have so far administered vaccine doses to 2,491,053 people across the country. Of them, 1,634,033 were men while 857,020 were women.

Twenty one of Tuesday’s vaccine recipients experienced mild side effects. To date, side effects have been recorded in 630 people.

Meanwhile, 62,239 people received the Covid-19 vaccine in Dhaka division, followed by Chittagong division with 37,708 vaccine recipients.

Additionally, a total of 29,007 people received the vaccine in Dhaka city on Tuesday.
