Bangladesh logged an additional 14 deaths and 845 infections from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours on Monday, counting the death toll to 8,476 and infections to 551,175.
Among the deceased, 10 were male and four female patients.
A Directorate General of Health Services release came up with the latest COVID-19 data.
Some 16,958 specimens were tested in the timeline at 219 labs across the country.
Bangladesh had tested a total of 41,63,163 specimens as of March 8.
A total of 1,117 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 504,120.
Bangladesh on March 8, 2020 reported the first COVID-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18, 2020.
