A devastating fire engulfed Rohingya refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar on Monday, officials said.
An official at the fire service control room in Chattogram said the fire started at camp-8 in Balukhali camp at about 3:20 pm.
Rafiqul Islam, an additional police super of Cox’s Bazar, said that fire hit a vast area of the camp and is yet to come under control at 6:00 pm.
Fire service, armed police battalion, and district administration is working to bring the fire under control, he said.
There is no news of causality yet, he said.
