The Chattogram district administration yesterday instructed that all sorts of shops and restaurants will close by 6:00pm till April 14 to curb the spread of coronavirus.
Pharmacies and kitchen markets will remain out of the purview of the directive, said Mominur Rahman, deputy commissioner of Chattogram.
DC Mominur Rahman said if anybody violates the instruction, legal action will be taken through mobile court.
All sorts of tourist spots, cinema halls and theatres will remain closed till April 14 while social and political programmes will be postponed till that time, he said.
Religious programmes would be held on a limited scope following health rules, added the DC.
