COVID-19 infects 7,626, kills 63 in Bangladesh

Bangladesh logged an additional 63 deaths and 7,626 infections from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours on Wednesday, counting the death toll to 9,447 and infections to 659,278.

Among the deceased, 39 were male and 24 female patients.

A Directorate General of Health Services release came up with the latest COVID-19 data.

Some 34,630 specimens were tested in the timeline at 237 labs across the country.

Bangladesh had tested a total of 48,82,656 specimens as of April 7.

A total of 3,256 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 561,639.

Bangladesh on March 8, 2020 reported the first COVID-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18, 2020.
