Bangladesh Meteorological Department predicted rain in several parts of the country including some places in Dhaka division today.
"Rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Sylhet & Dhaka divisions and the region of Jashore, Kushtia & Cumilla," according to a weather forecast published by the Met office last evening.
The weather forecast is valid for 24 Hours commencing 6:00pm yesterday, according to the Bangladesh Met office.
River ports of Rangpur, Dinajpur, Rajshahi, Bogura, Pabna Dhaka, Faridpur, Tangail, Mymensingh, Cumilla and Sylhet have been advised to hoist cautionary signal no. 2.
In other places over the country, "weather may remain mainly dry," the forecast added.
The forecast also added that day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
