COVID-19 death toll crosses 10,000 in Bangladesh

Bangladesh logged an additional 94 deaths and 4,192 infections in the past 24 hours on Thursday counting the death toll to 10,081 and infections to 70,73,62 in the country.

A Directorate General of Health Services release came up with the latest COVID-19 update.

Among the deceased, 64 were male 30 female patients.

Some 19,959 specimens were tested in the timeline at 255 labs across the country.

Bangladesh had tested a total of 51,15,572 specimens as of April 15.

A total of 5,915 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 597,214.

Bangladesh on March 8, 2020 reported the first COVID-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18, 2020.
