The police arrested another leader of Dhaka city unit of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh, Korban Ali, at his residence at Sabujbagh in Dhaka on Tuesday.
Korban, a vice-president of Dhaka city unit of Hefazat, was picked up by a group of people introducing themselves as the members of detective branch of police, said the unit publicity secretary Abdul Mumin.
He said that the raiders picked him from the house adjacent to his madrassah in Sabujbagh area in Dhaka at about 4:00pm.
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s media and public relations department officials, at about 6:00pm, said that Korban was arrested at his house at about 5:30pm by a team of Gulshan DB.
