Another worker who was injured in police shooting at SS Power I Plant in Gondamara union of Chattogram's Banskhali upazila succumbed to his injuries today.
The victim, Shimul Ahmed (22) from Sylhet district, died while undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit of Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) at 2:00pm, our Chattogram correspondent reports quoting Silabroto Das, nayek of CMCH police box.
Police opened fire when workers at SS Power I Plant were staging demonstration over unpaid salary and demanding improvement of their accommodation on 17 April leaving five workers dead and dozens injured.
