Hefazat leader Khalid Saifullah arrested

Members of Rapid Action Battalion arrested one more Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh central leader Khalid Saifullah Ayubee at his village home in Singair in Manikganj.

Khalid Saifullah, a central joint secretary of Hefazat, was arrested by a team of RAB-1 sometimes after 4:am, RAB officiasls said.

A text message sent by RAB said that the Hefazat leader was arrested in a case filed with the Paltan police in Dhaka recently over conducting violence and sabotages activities.

The violence and sabotages were committed during Hefazat programmes in late March while Hefazat was protesting at the visit of Indian prime minister Narendra Modi to Bangladesh, on the occasion of the country’s golden jubilee of independence and birth centenary of the country’s founding president Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

With Khalid Saifullah, a total of 14 Hefazat central and Dhaka leaders were so far arrested in recent days.
