At least 10 people were injured in an explosion reportedly due to gas line leakage in Talla area of Fatulla in Narayanganj on Friday morning.
Most of the injured were rushed to Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
Fire Service deputy assistant director in Narayanganj Abdullah Al Arefin said that they primarily suspected that the blast in a three-storey building at about 6:00am might have taken place from gas line leakage.
Of the injured, six were rushed to the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery and the rest ones were taken to Narayanganj General Hospital for treatment, the fire service official said.
On September 4, over 50 people, including children, were injured in an explosion during the Isha prayers at Baitus Salat Jame Mosque in Narayanganj’s Tolla area due to gas line leakage.
34 of the injured people died later.
