Bangladesh government has decided to close its international border with India for travellers for two weeks from Monday.
The decision came amid the increase of Covid-19 infections in the neighbouring country, said the foreign minister AK Abdul Momen on Sunday.
The minister said over phone that the cargo transportation, however, would continue.
A committee would observe the situation for two weeks from Monday, he added.
He said the Bangladesh High Commission in India would look after the Bangladeshi stranded in India.
