Covid-19 claims 60, infects 1,452 more in Bangladesh

Bangladesh logged an additional 60 Covid-19 deaths and 1,452 infections in the past 24 hours on Saturday counting the death toll to 11,510 and infections to 760,584 in the country.

A Directorate General of Health Services handout came up with the latest Covid-19 update.

Among the deceased, 37 were male 23 female patients.

Some 15,117 specimens were tested in the timeline at 420 labs across the country.

Bangladesh had tested a total of 54,84,821 specimens as of May 1.

A total of 3,245 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 684,671.

Bangladesh on March 8, 2020 reported the first Covid-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18, 2020.
