Covid-19 claimed 37 more lives in the past 24 hours ending at 8:00am on Wednesday while 1,608 fresh infections were confirmed during the same time.
The Director General of Health Services in its daily update confirmed it.
A total of 20,528 people had their samples tested in the timeline, said the release.
The latest figures took the overall death caused by Covid-19 to 12,248 and the total number of infections to 783,737.
Bangladesh officially announced first Covid infection on March 8 and the first death from the viral disease on March 18.
Of the diseased, 26 died in government hospitals while 10 in private hospitals and one at home, said the health services.
