Bangladesh logged 34 more Covid-19 deaths and 1,444 new infections in the past 24 hours until 8:00am on Sunday, said Directorate General of Health Services.
A total of 14,277 samples have been tested during the reporting period and 10.11 per cent of the samples tested positive for the viral disease.
With the latest accounts, the overall Covid death toll rose to 12,583 while infections to 798,830 ever since Covud-19 emerged in the country on March 8, 2020.
Twenty one of the new deaths were recorded by government hospitals while private hospitals recorded 10 deaths.
Three people died at home during the reporting period, said the daily Covid situation update of the health services.
