Bangladesh recorded 54 deaths from Covid-19 in the 24 hours till Monday morning and 3,050 people tested positive for the disease over the same period, amounting to a daily infection rate of 14.80%.
As many as 20,602 samples, including pending ones, were tested at 512 authorized labs across the country between 8am Sunday and 8am Monday.
The overall death toll in the country now stands at 13,172, while the total number of confirmed cases has risen to 829,972 with an overall infection rate of 13.40%.
Border districts continued to show an upward trend in coronavirus cases, with the infection rate higher than 50% in some of the districts
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed the latest figures on Covid-19 in the country with a press release on Monday afternoon.
