Covid-19: 67 deaths recorded in 24 hours

Sixty-seven people have died from Covid-19 in 24 hours (till 8am today). The daily positivity rate during this period stood at 18.02 percent, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of deaths in the country has reached 13,466 and the death rate stands at 1.59 percent.

At least 3,057 new infections were recorded during the period, taking the total number of people infected to 8,48,027 added the release.

The total positivity rate stands at 13.45 percent.

A total of 16,964 samples were tested across the country in 24 hours.

At least 1,725 Covid-19 patients have recovered during the period.

The total number of recoveries now stands at 7,80,146 and the recovery rate at 92 percent.

Among the 67 deceased, 34 were men and 33 women. Of them, three were between 21-30, three between 31-40, 12 between 41-50, 22 between 51-60 and 27 were above 60 years old, added the release.
