39 more die at Covid units in Rajshahi, Khulna, Satkhira, Ctg

A total of 39 patients died at the Covid units of hospitals in Khulna, Rajshahi, Satkhira and Chattogram districts in 24 hours ending Monday morning.

Of them, 11 died in two hospitals in Khulna, 14 in Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, seven in Satkhira Medical College Hospital and seven died in hospitals in Chattogram, New Age correspondents in the districts, quoting officials of the hospitals, reported.

Of the 39 deceased, 25 were Covid positive patients and remaining 14 died with symptoms of Covid infection.

In Khulna, six Covid positive patients died at the Covid Dedicated Hospital, operated by Khulna Medical College Hospital, during the time, the hospital’s resident medical officer Suhas Chandra Halder.

Five more Covid positive patients died in Gazi Medical College Hospital, said the hospital’s chairman Gazi Mizanur Rahman.

SMCH superintendent Kudrat-e-Khuda, reported that a total of seven patients, all having symptoms of Covid infection, died in the Covid units of Satkhira Medical College Hospital during the time.

RMCH deputy director Saiful Ferdous, reported that 14 more patients — seven Covid positive patient and seven having symptoms of Covid infection — died at the Covid units of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital in 24 hours ending Monday 6:00am.

the district civil surgeon Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, reported that a total of seven Covid positive patients died at hospitals in Chattogram in past 24 hours.

Of the deceased, six were from different upazilas and the remaining one was from Chattogram city.
