Police today filed a case against unidentified persons over deaths due to negligence after at least seven people were killed in Sunday's explosion in Dhaka's Moghbazar.
Shazzadur Rahman, deputy commissioner of Ramna Division Police, said a case was filed with Ramna Police Station under section 304-A of Penal Code in this regard.
Meanwhile, a committee formed by police, which has been tasked to identify the cause of the blast and asses the liabilities, visited the spot this morning.
Accumulated gas was behind the massive explosion on the ground floor of a three-storey building, officials and experts said after primary investigation.
Police officials said they are investigating the incident and trying to identify the responsible persons.
