The seven-day "strict lockdown" has entered its second day and is going on in full-force as streets of Dhaka were mostly empty.
Our photojournalists roamed around Farmgate, Green Road, Paltan, Matsya Bhaban, Gulistan, Motijheel and Dhaka-Aricha highway to gather photos of the lockdown on this rainy weekend.
Very few private cars were on the streets while those who were out in the rain mostly took rickshaws.
Otherwise, busy points like Farmgate, Gulistan saw almost no movement of transport.
Members of Border Guard of Bangladesh were seen checking vehicles at Zero Point near Gulistan.
The Dhaka-Aricha highway near Savar and Hemayetpur also remained empty due to rain and lockdown.
Police also set up check-points at various points in the city to make sure people cannot break rules.
