Nineteen more people died at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital's (RMCH) Covid unit in 24 hours till this morning.
Of the deceased, four were Covid-19 positive and 15 died with symptoms, our Rajshahi staff correspondent reports quoting RMCH Director Brig Gen Shamim Yazdani.
Ten of the deceased were from Rajshahi, two each from Naogaon and Natore, one each from Chapainawabganj, Pabna, Kushtia, Chuadanga and Joypurhat.
A total of 282 samples were tested in RMCH's RT-PCR Lab (till 8am today) and 75 of them tested Covid-19 positive while 430 were tested at Rajshahi Medical College lab and 126 of them were positive.
The rate of positivity was 29.03 percent in Rajshahi.
During the period, 76 new patients were admitted at RMCH's isolation ward and 73 left hospital after recovery.
With them, in total 489 patients are now undergoing treatment at the Covid unit of the hospital.
