State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain on Saturday said both public and private institutions, including garments and industries are scheduled to be closed for two weeks during the strict lockdown after Eid-ul-Azha from July 23.
The state minister made the announcement while talking to reporters after the closing parade of the 97th BGB recruit batch, held at the BGB headquarters, in Chuadanga-6 on Saturday.
The state minister also said the government has decided to relax the lockdown on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha considering the country's economy.
He further added that for those who have raised livestock, it is important to sell them to prevent financial suffering.
But we have to follow the hygiene rules as there is no alternative to tackle the Covid-19 crisis, he added.
