Fifteen people died while undergoing treatment at the Covid-19 unit of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital in 24 hours till 8am today.
Among the 15, five were coronavirus positive while others had symptoms, reports our correspondent quoting Brig Gen Shamim Yazdani, director of the hospital.
Of them, eight were from Rajshahi, one from Chapainawabganj, two from Natore, one Naogaon, one Kushtia and two were from Pabna.
Two hundred and eighty-two samples were tested at the RT-PCR lab of RMCH. Of which 95 were positive. On the other hand, 281 samples were tested at the medical college lab of which 35 were positive.
The current positivity rate in Rajshahi is 23.81 percent, the director said.
A total of 403 patients were admitted at the Covid-19 unit of RMCH till this morning.
