Six people died and five were injured as a small truck fell into a roadside ditch in Gurudaspur upazila of Natore today.
The deceased include four males and two females. One of the females was identified as Tanjima Bithi, resident of Gurudaspur.
Identities of the other deceased could not be known, officer-in-charge of Gurudaspur Police Station.
The vehicle, bound for Dhaka, overturned and fell into the ditch as it tried to overtake another truck around 2:00pm at Kachigachha, said Liton Kumar Saha, superintendent of police in Natore.
Five people who were on board the small truck died on the spot, the official said.
The injured were taken to Gurudaspur Upazila Health Complex. One of the injured died at the hospital, OC Abdur Razzak said.
