If coronavirus transmission cannot be controlled in the country, the situation will be grave, Health Minister Zahid Maleque said today.
"The economy of the country will collapse and poverty will increase. So the Covid-19 transmission has to be brought under control," he said.
He came up with the remarks at a programme, "Challenge of Covid Pandemic and Dengue Outbreak", organised by Bangladesh Society of Medicine around 2:00pm in the city.
The minister also urged all people to wear masks and maintain health guidelines to avoid infection.
