Education minister Dipu Moni on Monday informed the cabinet meeting that all universities across Bangladesh would be able to resume academic activities by this month.
Chairing the virtual meeting from her official residence Ganobhaban, prime minister Sheikh Hasina asked about the delay in reopening of the universities as schools and colleges reopened on September 12 after a closure of around one and half years due to Covid-19 outbreak.
Cabinet secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam said this at a press briefing at the secretariat.
He said the cabinet was informed that renovation of the dormitories was taking time.
