Police have arrested Abdur Rahman, deputy managing director (DMD) of AB Bank, in a fraud case today.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner (Gulshan zone), Newton Das, confirmed the development to this afternoon.
"He was arrested from his Gulshan residence in Dhaka around 8:30am today," he said.
"An arrest warrant was issued against the AB Bank DMD in a fraud case filed by Bazlur Rashid, following which he was arrested today," he added.
