IU reopens halls on Oct 9; in-person class from Oct 20

After nearly 18 months, Kushtia's Islamic University (IU) is all set to reopen its halls on October 9 and resume physical classes from October 20, maintaining health rules.

The students, who have already received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine, will be allowed to stay at the halls and attend the classes.

Meanwhile, the university authorities have reopened the central library today.

The decisions were taken at a syndicate meeting presided over by Vice-Chancellor Prof Shaikh Abdus Salam at his official residence last night.

There will be no public room at the halls for the time being. Other decisions will be taken later considering the situation, the meeting said.

IU Pro-VC Prof M Mahbubur Rahman and Treasurer Prof M Alamgir Hossain Bhuiya were present at the meeting.
